How the monitor works
The Auction Monitor collects publicly published results only: figures that auction houses release themselves or that the Dutch equestrian trade press publishes. Every row in the table carries a link to that source. We estimate nothing: if an organizer publishes only a percentage or a rounded average, that is exactly what appears here.
The 2026/2027 auction season, including the six KWPN Online Foal Auctions (August–September) and the autumn sales of Paardenveilingonline, is followed continuously from August 2026. Older results serve as historical context.
The monitor holds 27 individual auction results from 2018–2026. Published average prices per auction range from €3,895 to €220,000. Across the 3 auctions that published complete sale counts, 84.3% of the horses offered were sold (86 of 102). The highest recorded top price is €470,000 for Djoka (v. Diamant de Semilly), at Dutch Sport Horse Sales 2025 (21e editie).
Calculated over the individual auction results in the open data; season overviews are excluded. The sale rate is weighted: total sold divided by total offered, only across auctions that published complete counts. Reuse is allowed under CC BY 4.0, with attribution (Stalwijs).
